On Sunday, November 6th, we gave a presentation on preparing for the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse at the STANYS Conference (Science Teacher Association of New York State). It was incredible meeting science teachers who have already seen a total solar eclipse before and hearing how teachers are already prepping their schools, staff, admin, and students for the eclipse.

As a bonus, after our session, Alex Young, the Associate Director for Science in the Heliophysics Science Division at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, gave a presentation covering the space weather, the Sun’s corona, including eclipses and solar maxium, and more. You can check out Alex’s work at The Sun Today.
