The Great American Eclipse 2024

March 7 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm | Free

January 24th, 1925 was the last time Rochester, NY experienced totality during a solar eclipse. April 8th, 2024 will be the first time Rochester is in the path of totality in 99 years. Join Jim Porter, NASA Ambassador, to discuss what solar eclipses are and how to view one safely. Registration is required.

Jim Porter worked for over two decades as an aerospace engineer at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, CA, and Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland.

Due to the limited number of Eclipse Glasses, the first 80 attendees will receive one pair of glasses at the conclusion of the program. You must stay for the entirety of the program to receive your glasses.
