Enjoy a full weekend of historical happenings at GCV&M leading up to the total solar eclipse! The Museum will be open from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Friday, April 5, Saturday, April 6, and Sunday, April 7, for fascinating programming and historical happenings. Explore our 19th-century Historic Village, listen to the amazing tales of eclipses from authors like Mark Twain and Jules Verne, build your own pinhole camera, and examine how early American scientists and astronomers explored the heavens over a century before the space race! And then of course, we’ll be pre-selling tickets for the once-in-a-century viewing experience on Monday, April 8!
