Partial Solar Eclipse Viewing at the GCV&M Nature Center
Event Navigation
Genesee Country Village & Museum is excited to announce extended open weekends this fall, with a handful of favorite buildings open in the Historic Village, exhibits in the John L. Wehle Gallery, snacks and drinks in the Depot Restaurant, and programming in our Nature Center! The first extended open weekend is Leaf Peeping Weekend, coming up Friday, October 13, through Sunday, October 15, from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
On Saturday, October 14, join us for a partial solar eclipse viewing party at the Nature Center from noon to 2:30 p.m.! Get a free pair of eclipse viewers to experience the partial eclipse, spread out on the green surrounding our Nature Center to view the sun through a telescope, learn about eclipse science from a GCV&M naturalist, and get a sneak peek at GCV&M’s plans for the 2024 total eclipse coming up in April. (Eclipse glasses and Nature Center programming included with general Museum admission).
The Museum will be open from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Saturday, October, 14, and visitors are invited to join us at the Nature Center for this special programming from noon to 2:30 p.m.
