Eclipse Day at the J!

The JCC will supply free eclipse-viewing glasses on the path going toward the tennis courts beginning at 2:45pm on eclipse day, and we’ll have a solar-filtered telescope outdoors as well!
Noon
• Enjoy lunch at Fox’s, including eclipse-moon cookies
• Camp Seneca Lake swag table
• Goodnight Moon storytime at 12:30pm
1pm to 3pm
• A fabulous Silent-Disco Moon Dance Party in the Auditorium – rent our free headphones courtesy of Rochester Silent Disco and boogie to three music options!
• Eclipse-themed crafts including a make-your-own straw rocket ship
• Oreo-cookie phases of the moon project
• Temple Emanu-El’s “cosmic Judaism” table including: “noshes” (snacks), colanders for cool shadow-viewing, bling for dressing up your eclipse glasses, spirographs, Jewish lunar calendars, and NASA’s “Eclipse in Six” (more on that is here – https://eclipse2017.nasa.gov/eclipse-six).
