Blast From the Past
As we were going through old files in the RMSC Strasenburgh Planetarium, we found an envelope from the 1994 Annular Solar Eclipse! We’re in love with this artwork. Inside of it, we found a pair of eclipse glasses and a sheet with details about the annular eclipse.
An annular solar eclipse happens when the Moon covers the Sun’s center leaving the Sun’s outer edges visible forming a “ring of fire” around the Moon.
We recommend you NOT use glasses from 1994.
